“Lovely hotel, with a beautiful view of the sea and sunset. As we were staying in exceptional times of heat this weekend, there was only one fan in the room and the windows barely opened. There is air-conditioning being installed but it was not working yet. Breakfast was slow and not very much supply, the items soon ran out, and when we asked for additional croissants, only 3 were brought, for a full dining room, so they went straight away, other items were not replenished on the self-service...

“Place was closed and locked when we arrived. Had to call sister accommodation to try and open it up. First night we were the only people in the place. Stayed two nights. I never saw a single member of staff the whole time”

“Great location, staff were very helpful. Was a nice touch that they put on a free shuttle into Salcombe. They also provided complimentary gin and ice and slice which we thought made the stay even more unique.”

Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time.”

“We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. ”
