Yongmun, Yangpyeong hotel rooms at the Independent

"Clean room, modern and affordable. We didn’t really had issues finding parking spots, though it’s not easy to park with a midsize SUV in a tiny parking spot as usual in Korea. We stayed for about 5-6 nights and the staffs were very helpful and kind. We stayed with a young toddler not knowing that the hotel was in the nightlife area. It was well-soundproofed that we never had issues with noise, though I wouldn’t recommend going out alone at night just for safety. Yet, the hotel is located very close to major shopping areas and restaurants, so it was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was mid - not much options to choose from and it looked like they don’t usually have customers. Overall, I would definitely stay at Orchid Hotel in Wonju again in the future. "

" Lots of space but there are a lot of extra payments , even if you are leaving luggage for a couple of hours after checking out. Swim zone is clunky- get your life jacket on the way in ! Skiing: OK a day or two. You can hire stuff there. Taxi is about 120,000 Won from Seoul. "

"Well managed hotel with beautifully managed garden and nice restaurant, tea house and art gallery. Was a bit doubtful from the name but understood once learned it’s from the Christians who built the place. Recommended for a night away from the city with the elders who would enjoy a walk in the garden. "

"Liked everything about this hotel. We had a problem with the air conditioner amd they fixed it immediate (remotely from the front desk). Location was very good, you can walk to the pedestrian bridge."
