Room was big and clean with a lovely bed. Bathroom was ok but looking a bit tired. Parking was easy. Breakfast was great, everything you could want including omlettes. Didnt like the orange juice was more like orange squash. Public areas were modern and clean.

Room was very clean. Bathroom could do with updating as there was a lot of mould round the floor of the bath. Staff were very friendly Breakfast was 5 star.

Only stayed briefly overnight and didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food or other facilities. Pros - very clean, quick check in/out from friendly staff, room was spacious and bed was comfy. However, it’s very tired and dated - floorboards squeaked, and the fittings/furniture etc is overdue a refresh and refurbishment. Didn't really detract from an overnight stay, but did mean the hotel lacked a luxury feel.

It's true it is a bit dated if that worries you, certainly didn't worry me, perfectly functional very clean, the only thing that bugged me was the Ruddy lift, second floor going down aagh first floor going up that voice done my head in I'm joking of course great location loads of parking, great staff, I'd stay here again.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay and would return again in the future. We liked the location just outside York and with a Park & Ride just a few minutes away. The hotel is nice and staff helpful. The room we had was larger than most and had all the usual facilities (including a fridge), the decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up, also the bathroom needed updating. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it at the price we payed.

This hotel didn’t disappoint. Location was great to visit York. Although we left there to move onto a hotel in the centre of York I actually wish we had stayed here instead, restaurant was good, staff were attentive.

Older hotel, so rooms are not modern, but are clean and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful, so that was the best part of the stay. Nice common area and restaurant.

Staff were amazing, but the place had a rundown feel to it. The public areas were quite modern, but the rooms certainly were not. The room was ,in fairness , quite large , but the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly and the sink was badly cracked. Some of the architrave looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Also , the food in the restaurant , whilst acceptable , was not what you would expect in a four star hotel , and overpriced too.

There were some comments about rooms needing an upgrade so I was a bit worried. However, I got a very spacious room with a large comfy bed, the bathroom had a bathtub and a lot of space for my cosmetics, room was also very well equipped. One downside was lack of AC but at least the window opened. The hotel reception, lounge, bar and restaurant are much updated and really nice and comfortable. Lots of room to spread out and space is nicely designed. Breakfast was also very good, all menues covered. The hotel is only 10 mins from York city centre with bus stop just outside which was very handy. Overall, a very nice stay.
