The over-all experience was amazing. The staff was really helpful when you check-in. They give you all the information in the rooms about what is around. Also numbers and time of local shops and takeaways. The facilities are share but are cleaned everyday. The only downfall I have about the place in the shared kitchen there is no oven. Just hobs and a microwave.

Amazing site
So much thought has been put into the organisation of this glamping site. The owners have thought of everything! We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay. Being able to hire bedding and the shared kitchen having cooking utensils, pans, plates and cutlery etc made packing so much lighter! We were lucky to have good weather and made good use of the bbq area and outdoor seating. This site is ideally situated to explore York and other local villages.

Great value for money
Really good value for money. 10 minute drive away from the city centre. Would stay again & happily recommend to others.
We stayed here Wednesday till Friday in pod 8. Our first time glamping and we wasn’t disappointed. The pod was clean and cosy. 10 minutes drive from the centre of york.
We had not gone 'glamping' before. We are campers. We liked the camping feel and the warmth and sound proofing in the pods.Excellent for late October.
Outdoor chairs were available in the communal garden area. The six loos/showers were v good but barely enough. The kitchen only really fitted two pairs i.e. to lots of pods at a time. But it was a really good small glamping site that we would certainly consider using again. V good value for money.
Absolutely brilliant place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly, couldn't ask for more. The pods themselves are a wonderful experience, the cooking facilities were well equipped and spotless as were the toilet/showers. Wish we could of stayed longer, will definitely go back there again.
We had a great stay at the York Holiday & Cycle Stop. When we arrived, we were given a quick guide to the area (best places to go for a drink, or food etc.) and then shown our pod and amenities. The pod was small and cosy, with tea/coffee making facilities and a comfortable bench that cleverly converted into a very large, double bed. We were situated close to the amenity block, which contained a number of self contained WC/Showers and a large kitchen facility, all of which were clean and well equipped. The site itself has gated access, with a security code, so you can come and go as you please. As added benefits, WiFi was available across the site, which came in handy, and the pod and amenities were heated, so we were never cold, despite it being a particularly chilly middle of March when we visited.
Our only real pick ups (being extra picky) was that the surrounding area has no shops/pubs within walking distance, and the nearest bus stop involves walking up some roads that we wouldn't have risked in the dark nights. One of the nearest pubs, which served food, doesn't actually serve food on Mondays or Tuesdays, so that also scuppered our plans slightly (we were staying Sunday-Wed), which wasn't mentioned in the guide. Again, these are picky points and out of the control of the site (but worth noting all the same).
We used the site as base to visit York and Leeds, and it was ideally located for the park and rides for both of these cities; we would definitely recommend!
Such an amazing little place to stay in such a beautiful setting!
The pods are fabulous and have so much more room in than I thought. The host was friendly and chatty. The areas surrounding the pods were well kept by Mo too!
It was just idillic really. Short walk to the bus stop or 10 minute car journey into York.
A real hidden gem! Will definitely be back! Thank you xx
Nice site, quiet, nice lawns and trees. The kitchen and ablution block is also good, clean and practical. Accommodation is in eco pods which are comfortable and clean, and big enough for two. For those not keen on a walk to the ablutions, the pods are arranged in a semi circle so all are close to it. You would still get wet in rainy weather so be aware this is more like camping than a cottage. I enjoyed my 3 night stay and found it relaxing.
