We played ping pong, but unfortunately the fireplace was never lit. We enjoyed walking around in the snow, and the nearby soba restaurant was so good we ate there twice. The nearby shrine is worth a visit, and the train station is only a short walk for those without a car. I would like to visit again!"

"The property has a pretty environment and has a nice view of the Matsushima bay area. It offers tasty meals with a good variety of food and beverages. Unfortunately the room that I was assigned, while has a nice view, is right next to the railway tracks with trains frequently passing. No information about the railway tracks were provided in the process of booking online, I believe Expedia should alert customers to state clearly their request for a quiet room away from the railway. The property should also consider installing double glazed windows for the rooms affected. Should I be staying for more than one night, I would request a change of rooms."

"Great buffet breakfast and dinner included in the price. However, Expedia's booking confirmation did not advise us the dinner was included. So, we missed dinner on the first night because of the lack of notification. Lift your game, Expedia!"
