"Located in a not quite salubrious part of town, first impressions are mixed. However the owner is very welcoming (without any English being spoken) and the hotel has a rustic, individual charm. The room was quiet and clean, with a level of amenity to be expected. The highlight of the stay was the meal in the hotel restaurant - freshly cooked, local influence and great value. The owner was attentive and keen to please."

"Ideal stopover for our drive to Italy"

"We stayed here as a stopover between Switzerland and the channel tunnel. We needed a meal, a comfortable bed and a decent shower. All was provided with excellent and very friendly service. It is in a rural area (good for the dog) and is next to a relatively busy D road. "

"First issue was Hotels.com confirmation had not made it through to the manager and the hotel was meant to be full. However the manager was brilliant. Sorted out dinner, phoned other guests that hadn’t arrived yet and by the time we finished dinner we were in. Excellent service. My only criticisms was the room was too hot so we had to open the window and the hotel is quite close to the church and the bells chime every 15 mins."

"The hotel was spotless and the surrounding area was kept very nicely. The receptionist was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Our room was exactly as pictured and the bed was very comfortable so we had a very good nights sleep. I was a little surprised to find that the hotel was on a retail park as it did not seem that from the photos but the double glazing is so good that it was very quiet in the room. Parking was ample and the hotel grounds are surrounded by a fence so it is reasonably...

"It was an overnight stay travelling from London to Saint Raphael. For all the foreign guests it would be a great improvement to have one news channel in English such as "France 24 in English"."

"On our penultimate day of a short jaunt through the Ardennes, we had an enjoyable time in Montherme, visiting the Roc la Tour also know as the Castle of the Devil! There was no chance of taking a boat trip on the river as everything seemed to have closed down, which was a shame as the boat was moored there and the timetable suggested it should have been going."

"Secure hotel with gate parking. Rooms small and basic but clean and ideal for overnight stays. Breakfast was included, which was limited in choice but very good quality, so overall deal was great value. No EV charger was disappointing. Overall quite pleased."

"We came in late and the receptionist had left my key with my name on it at the desk. The fountains, shopping and cafes were all just steps away."
