"We found the hostel to be clean and comfortable overall. Convenient for getting to the tourist sites. Great value. We had a private room with a queen bed and it was very comfortable although linens were a bit worn. Shared kitchen and bathroom areas were clean. Hot shower was excellent. Bus stop just outside front door. Many shops and restaurants nearby although it's not in the best of neighborhoods. Workmen were there during the day painting walls and working on doorways. "Has become my go-to location for overnight stays in Dublin. Great location and pricing. Excellent soundproofing of windows. Adorable and very friendly staff. It's a guest house carved out of a residential building so the rooms and various layouts are not to any kind of standard format which leads to some curious shapes and sauna surprises! "The proximity of the property to downtown Dublin is unbeatable. Being located between the Guinness Storehouse and the Temple Bar made walking a breeze. The parking was extremely secure and I felt comfortable leaving my rental car. My only issue was exiting the locked car park early in the morning. I was given a number to call if I left before 10am to open the gate. They were helpful, but it still took ~20 minutes before I could get out of the car park. "

"The hostel is located at the center of the city. Close to everything. Bus stop is just in front of the front-door, and there is a supermarket next to the hostel. The only disadvantage for me is the noise. The bathroom is in the room, so when people using the toilet or taking the shower, it’s quite loud. Overall, it’s good place and price for shot staying."

"I don't usually write reviews but I loved my stay at the Martello so much. Check in was easy and the staff was lovely. Parking was very easy and not far at all -- I was also able to find parking easily both nights I stayed there. The restaurant at Martello was incredible too -- I had the best short rib I've ever had and was so happy with everything from start to finish. 10/10 reccomend!!"

We weren't told where to have breakfast and we got lost trying to find it, then we didn't get told what we could eat in terms of our coupons and we didn't get to eat the following two days after paying for it. The room was standard but good enough for staying in for sleeping, the sink was leaking, the tap was cracked and we got soaked in the rain and the radiator didn't even turn on.
