We received alternative accomodation details in Jesmond which was off putting. We called back and not understanding why the change, we insisted on our original booking which they reluctantly gave us. "We booked Nags Hotel as we needed somewhere close to the Racecourse. It is a nice quiet hotel. The room was small but for the price was great for 1 night. When we came down for dinner the restaurant and pub was packed out. We went out to see what was close by but they were all takeaway places. We eventually found a small table back at the Pub.
