Colonial Hotel & Suites

"This was our second stay at the Colonial Hotel, and overall we really love this spot. The location is fantastic — it’s a quick walk to the beach, parking is included with your stay, and the hotel has a great resort like atmosphere The outdoor spaces are definitely a highlight. There are lots of areas to sit and relax, gas fireplaces, and an awesome pool area. The wait staff are great, the cocktails are fantastic, and being able to order food and drinks while enjoying the outdoor spaces really gives it a fun resort vibeThere’s a lot to love about the property itself Unfortunately, I was disappointed with our room on this visit. It had a noticeable damp/humid, musty smell and didn’t feel as clean as I would expect, particularly for the price. There was a pair of tweezers left on the nightstand when we arrived, and the bottom of the shower had some rusty mold like spots. Overall, the room itself just didn’t feel up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel We still really love the Colonial for its location, atmosphere, amenities, and we would absolutely consider returning I just hope a little more attention is given to the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, because with that improved, this would be a fantastic Grand Bend stay"
