This is part of the shingle spit on the Colne Point Nature Reserve owned by Essex Wildlife Trust http://www.essexwt.org.uk/visitor_centres__nature_reserves/colne_point_nature_reserve/ .The reserve is only accessible to the general public by day permit obtainable from the Trust headquarters. The shingle spit is the best example in Essex. This view is the eastern (and smaller) of two parallel spits that end at Sandy Point.

"Room was clean, tidy, functional and had sufficient features. The balcony was a great addition. The view over the town was super. It overlooks the street so accept there will be town noise on a Friday./Saturday night. Does mean it is superbly situated for city exploits. Only negative was parking. It was a busy weekend and the assigned car-park had only once space."
