It’s clean, they’re working on the elevator and other areas, but in general its ok. The breakfast its very authentic, with different side dishes and wonderful bread and coffee, but Ali Baba makes you feel very welcome, he made our breakfast time the best. "I always look for places that have lots of space and a washer because I can pack lighter. This fit the bill. The space was so far it felt like the kitchen was a half-block away (well, it kinda was). And I didn't have to hang the cloths out to dry: it was a washer/dryer all-in-one machine. The living room/dining area was huge, I'd say 25'x15' and, as I discovered after four days, a wonderful balcony with a settee, chairs, and table. Hadn't thought to pull the curtains. "This is a lovely boutique hotel taking up a few high floors in a large building right opposite the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Each room is named after a different Egyptian God. Friendly staff, beautifully decorated rooms, and fantastic location. Downsides were that I paid $20 for early check-in (which seems pretty pricey), my room (Bastet) had a sewage smell so might have a drain problem, and the lift doors are very difficult to open and close."

"You’ll get the best view of the Pyramids from this place. It’s literally right across the street. Excellent stone work inside. Also has an upper deck for eating & observation which is really great. The mattresses are extra firm. Not my preference but the room a/c will freeze you out. Breakfast is included. Not your average western omelette but it’s filling. You Love the view.
