"There was a smell of mould in the corridor on the ground floor around the reception area. However, the rooms we freshly redecorated and new furniture were installed. The bed was comfortable and soft. "

"We arrived about 9:00 pm. There was no any receptionist or room service or maintenance people. Checked in with computer and took the key. No hot water at all. Ice cold water. No people to call. Room was extremely hot. 27 Celsius. There is no AC. We opened the windows. Humidity a lot. Terrible smell of the swamp. Couldn't sleep at all till morning. Still no hot water. When we told to receptionist at 8:00 am about hot water. She said "I will tell them". Ugly people, terrible hotel. David"

"The staff was very friendly, the Elevator was not working when we arrived, so the staff helped us carried our 2 big luggage to the 2nd! It is a old style Hotel, but very nice and cozy , and great location! Next to the Christmas market! I will come back and stay when I visit Brühl next time!"

"It is a great location. The rooms are a little worn. My shower had problems with drainage. I asked the staff to fix it and nothing happened. I told them again when I checked out. She said she would have someone loo at it. I prepaid for my reservation on Orbitz but then they charged my credit card when I checked-out. I can't seem to get this resolved and it is very frustrating"

"I did not spend much time in my room, but all service by the hotel employees was very professional and friendly. The room was perfectly clean, and included a tv and a nice personal bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, and transport to nearby villiages was trivial since the train departs from the station just a minutes walk from the Hotel front porch."

"The pension was everything I hoped for and expected. It is in the perfect rural location, ideal for those hoping to enjoy all that this area offers. We arrived in the evening and I was pleased to smell familiar German cooking, although we had already eaten. The check-in was quick and simple and the room more than adequate offering a comfortable bed, white sheets and towels. The view in the morning from the balcony inspired a few photos before breakfast. The breakfast was traditional German food...

"For the facility provided, 120 USD is definitely overpriced. The toilet was not even flushed (seriously) when we checked in. Booked for two guests but only one set of towel, comforter, pillow, and cup were provided. Breakfast is free but you get the quality that is "free". Internet connection is a joke. Again, I understand if the hotel just wants to provide the basic services but 120 USD per night is a no-go."

"The hotel is a very old fashioned place, frozen in time. Rooms were clean but small and the bathrooms were very tight. However, the breakfast was very good and the city of Monschau is a must see, very picturesque little city, just lovely. Just a warning, everything closes early. "
