"Stayed 3 nights. What I liked: (1) The staff was great!!! (2) Location is great to centre George with lots of dining options you can walk to. (3) The rooms, themselves were very clean. What I did not like: (1) Wifi Internet never worked. (2) Generator was not working so there was no power during loadshedding. (3) The carpet in the hallways where the rooms are located is disgusting and needs to be replaced. Detracts from the otherwise clean environment. "

"Nice hotel, friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable. It’s in at the top of the hill overlooking Knysna and not walkable. Not much in Knysa except the waterfront. It’s an overprice place for food and not much to see. The hotel was nice but I would stay in Plettenberg Bay instead. "

"Despite the entire booking for this property going through Expedia via their booking platform, this was a scam. The Dunes hotel itself is well run and just outside the bustling town of Plettenberg bay. Sadly we did not get to stay there. The manager, Neil had previously sent Expedia information about the scam in the weeks preceding our booking but unfortunately we were still scammed. "I was looking forward to wonderful weekend away but the hotel just does not live up to its pictures, maybe it did 10 years ago. The hotel needs a serious refurb as well as the grounds of the hotel. The pool is definitely not this clean and blue as in the pictures anymore - it needs a paint job and a proper clean. The bed I slept in made such a noise when you moved, it was terrible.
