"My experience was not so good, room was clean, bedding was clean, but the towels was very old and over used.the breakfast room was overlooking the pool which was green and full of dirt and leaves. Garden was not kept in good order for a guest house.I could not get the fancy shower to work, ended up using the hand shower in the bath tub."

"This was out 3rd stay at Westlodge: 2014, 2019 and 2024. We keep coming back due to its quality. It's obviously under new management since our last visit. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts. Breakfast was lovely and of good quality. If I could give 4.5 I would. I just feel the standard has slipped since our last visit. "Loved my two night stay here. A tidy little hotel with small but functional and comfortable rooms. Great pressure in the shower. Lots of hot water. Nicely sound proofed so did not hear other guests slamming doors or chatting in the corridors which usually happens in many hotels. Also did not hear the traffic outside considering the hotel is positioned on a busy road. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was underwhelming."

"The unit itself was clean & functional. What I disliked was I booked a unit with private pool & paid extra yet was unable to utilise the pool as it was very dirty with tissues & debris. The water & surface was also not clean. I did let them know & have followed up with a request for a refund of the extra I paid but no response over one week later….."

"Great stay for a family vacation. Great amenities for kids and safe for kids to play around the resort. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very neat and clean. Pools are great. Heated pools will be even better. Maybe an idea for colder weather. "

"The cleaning at this property is done superficially. They need to do a deep clean as there is dirt in the corners, smell from the sheets and blanket, dust on applicances and slime in the kettle. There was a service door to the bathroom which isn't itself a problem, but I could smell cigarette smoke coming through every so often in the morning."

"Just needed a place to stay the evening before departure. Ended up being much nicer than expected in a gated community. Evans took us to dinner and picked us up at The Hat and Creek (also highly recommend) and to the airport the next morning after serving us a delicious full breakfast. Propetier Josef was very nice as well."
