Meadow Lake Resort & Condos
10/10 Excellent
"Stayed here two nights on a trip to do some fishing and visit Glacier National Park. If the S.O. was writing this it would be a whole paragraph about the shower. It was pretty great. We had a ground floor room that had a little patio in the back overlooking the golf course. It was really well kept and comfy beds. There was a bar that we had dinner at and drinks and the staff were exceptionally friendly. They also had free laundry service which was nice for this stage of our trip. They have lots of amenities that we didn't get a chance to check out. But the grounds are very quiet. Didn't have any issues. Would recommend if looking for a quiet, off the beaten path place to stay while visiting the park. And there was AC for these Texans."
The Firebrand Hotel
8/10 Good
"The Firebrand is a great place to stay location wise. Its location is walkable to all the restaurants, shops and bars in Whitefish. The hotels first floor is a great gathering place with its very nice lobby, bar and restaurant. The roof top seating area was a great place for us to take an after dinner drink and watch the sunset around fire pits. The negatives on the property is the staff and servicing of rooms. Once in the room we had no instructions on wifi password or how to work the analog tv. Had to go back to the front desk (room phone had no button to the front desk that we could find) where the young man who checked us in stated he forgot to give that information to us. The front desk staff look like they do not enjoy their jobs. Also note that if staying more than one night, your room will not be serviced until later in the afternoon. Per staff, they clean all checkouts first and then rooms of guests staying another night. Our bathroom had a hair tie in the corner that was there when we arrived. After they came the next afternoon to clean the hair tie was still there. Not very good with cleanliness. Also we are used to beds being straightened up. Our bed looked like someone threw the sheets, spread and pillows up with no thought of making it look nice. So if you don’t mind the negatives, you can’t beat the location of the hotel in the city."
