"A beautiful building that has been sympathetically updated. The beds are very hard which is fine if that’s what you like. The view from our room was rather unpleasant looking into what looked like derelict buildings that were actually lived in. Although there are nice parts of Tirano it is quite run down which is probably not helped by the tour companies picking up tourists at the end of the Bernina train line and ferrying them away to other cities instead of them injecting much needed cash into...

"Absolutely horrible!! This is not a 4* hotel. For the first time during our trip we felt unwelcomed in a hotel. Everything about it and its staff was awkward. The guy at the reception didn’t explain anything to us. We were woken up by some Italian guy screaming and shouting at 6:30 am. During breakfast we couldn’t find our table, it turned out we weren’t even on the list. The organisation was poor to say the least. Since we were the only foreigners in the hotel they made us feel out of place. I should have read the reviews of other people before booking this joke of a hotel. "
