Both restaurants offer good quality food. If you are renting a car and coming from Rio the hotel offers ample parking. Rent a car in Brazil is like 5th the price of getting a transfer. "The pousada is nice but not as you see in the pictures. Our room was at the top and there is a long way up, with low light at night The breakfast was ok, nothing special. It’s one block and a half to the beach, they change the pool towels only every 2 days. The curtains doesn’t cover completely so you get light early. The bed mattress for the small bed had a bump very uncomfortable, and the bed sheets low quality. Front desk people were kind and helpful"

"Fast check in. Polite staff. Clean room. Good breakfast. I have booked 2 rooms, in one of them, which the baby's nanny slept, room #410, the air conditioning didn't work. The hotel is a bit far from the main beach, Praia do Forte, but Uber is cheap and works very well in Cabo Frio."

"Very handy just across the road from the beach. Not the type of beach we are used to as it was only 5 people deep and everyone had a parassol. We just popped in for a swim now and again and rinsed off and sat by the pool."

"You simply cannot find a more attractive little boutique hotel (pousada) than Solar do Arco. Super stylish, quaint, Portuguese-inspired architecture. Wonderful staff, very good breakfast and parking just next door. Dining options abound. The room was well appointed and the A/C was quiet and appeared to be brand new. I'm going back! "
