"Really friendly staff. We couldn't check in early - which we knew in advance - but were able to leave our bags, and they were in our room waiting for us when we did check in. We got the vaulted room we had requested in advance. It was cosy, clean, and comfortable - even got tips for where to buy the pillows they use as they were lovely! Would definitely recommend and will use again next time we visit York. "

"Very good check-in. Staff were helpful with directions and a map of the area. They really tried to make us feel welcome, and succeeded. Quaint little room was a lot of fun and all amenities were thoughtful (umbrellas provided in the room for example) and comfy. Breakfast was reasonably priced and had lots of good choices. Surprisingly quiet at night - they had a patio nearby but we didn't hear a thing from it and enjoyed restful sleep. A great place and we were glad we stayed there."

"The Old Coach House is absolutely excellent. Our room was spacious, had everything we could want and all of a very high quality. It was warm, comfy and looked great too, with huge original wooden beams, large luxurious armchairs and tasteful decor. The breakfasts were super too; lots of choice and tasty fresh fruit like berries or pineapple and choice of juices. Home made granola pots featured if you wanted a luxury treat. "Location is great - short walk into town and just across the road is a lovely woodland for walks in the shadow of the castle and access to the North York’s Moors is very close. Accommodation layout really good for a social gathering - very clean and well equipped including books and games etc "

"We stayed here for 2 nights over the bank holiday for my partners birthday and last little break away before our little boy is due! The most peaceful and relaxing place I’ve ever been too, very much needed. The owners & staff couldn’t of be nicer, so welcoming and friendly. The dome was unreal and the bed was unbelievably comfy, best nights sleep I’ve had in a while! The weather was cloudy for most of our stay but it didn’t matter, we still managed to have a BBQ which was great! Amazing views...
