For the people complaining, I am uncertain what guests were expecting for such a reasonable rate right in the middle of the historical area. “We came across this place purely by chance, as we had a day in hand while driving across the state and were simply looking for somewhere with an outdoor pool for some R&R. What a find, and rather better than some random Hampton Inn!!! It's a beautiful place and even us jaded Brits were impressed with the historic house, the decor and the setting. The hosts were attentive and friendly but, with no other guests there, we really felt we had the place to ourselves. Would highly recommend.”

“The hotel has undergone a couple upgrades the last few years. I can tell it’s under new (and better) management. There is now shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel in the shower. The breakfast has been upgraded also. There are eggs and sausage now in addition to the other breakfast items.”
