โThis was our second stay and itโs a lovely property with wonderful staff that was both friendly and very accommodatingโฆthe food in the restaurant and sea deck bar is excellent. Our only complaint was a musty smell in one of the two rooms we rented that was quite overpowering and the lobby fireplace wasnโt working on a cooler day when the patio door was left open. We would definitely stay here again.โ

It's a fine B&B, caring owners of an old building that's well maintained. The frond road can be busy during the day, we had all 3 windows open all night and it was quiet, we had a good sleep. โStaff were excellent, and very hospitable. The food at their restaurant/cafe was simply superb. The room was decent, pretty much as advertised. A couple of minor issues about the facilities were brought to the owners' attention, but otherwise, the stay was a very pleasant experience. Thank you!โ
โWe stayed 2 days and it was excellent. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The large drawing room that overlooks Loch Melfort was also available for us to use which we enjoyed. We enjoyed a delicious 4 course dinner on the evening of our arrival prepared and served by our host Mathew. This was our first visit to Melfort House and hopefully we will be back again soon.โ
โA fantastic place to stay for a night. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Was lucky to get the front room with great views over to Mull. Easy walk up to the rest of the village, and very close to the ferry terminal. Great breakfast!โ

โthe view was astonishing. worth a one night stay. but the manager wasn't very friendly. didn't even inform when is the breakfast time or check out time etc when check-in. we asked for blanket and sheet for the sofa bed, but he unnecessarily said since we are two people staying, they didn't make the sofa bed. and reluctantly said they would send the blanket implying only blanket can be provided. but sheet and the blanket came, but i don't understand why they were reluctant to supply these cause...
โFrom the minute we arrived to the minute we left,we had the Best of service and attention . The food (with a focus on seafood) was absolutely amazing. The rooms were of high standard,clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful,chatty and charming. This has been the best hotel visit Iโve had in years. โ
โThis place is great! The innkeeper is super sweet and helpful. Parking is easy for a town that has very little free parking. It's a ten-minute walk to downtown. Great, cute room. No complaints. Would definitely stay here again.โ

"
