Food was great and evening dinners in particular. Staff were excellent and attentive. Island walk was lovely and pool excellent and empty when we used it. Very relaxing.
Uniquely beautiful setting on the island with wonderful, comfortable rooms, and exceptional dining. Pool area is very nice, with functioning steam room. Unfortunately the sauna was not working during our visit which was the only disappointing aspect of our stay. The suite near the spa was a very comfortable room to occupy. Dinner and breakfasts were thoroughly enjoyable and delicious.
We stayed one night for our anniversary in the tower and it was magical! Beautiful views, lovely room, friendly staff, and gorgeous grounds to take walks. Food was exceptional and service was top notch without being stuffy. You won’t regret it and nothing since has matched the standard of service and elegance.
This was a fabulous hotel. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this private island escape. If you get a chance, upgrade to a spa room, they are amazing! The staff were lovely, the rooms very comfortable, bar and meals were great. Really enjoyed the accommodations and would very much like to visit again!
The main building is a beautiful old country house. The food is lovely with a very relaxing atmosphere. The Clarsach being played near the roaring wood fire was really special. Having your own island to explore is a bonus!
Stunning castle with spectacular grounds at your disposal. The meals were amazing and the staff incredibly helpful. We had a small villa just a few steps from the castle with all of the amenities imaginable.
Only regret is we should have stayed longer!!!!
I bit of an off the beaten path property but worth the drive. Really gorgeous country estate and the staff was beyond fantastic! They made me feel very special and looked after. Will definitely stay again. I felt like a queen while I was there.
Great unique experience. The best experience was all the activities around the island. We did not expect the walks around the property and the otters point was our favorite.
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot). It is incredibly beautiful, and the service is second to none. Quiet hotel, one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, the food was delicious - I really can't fault it. Worth every penny. The whole island is owned by the hotel, they have wild otters and seals - the spa was beautiful too. Highly recommend, I will be staying here again
Hotel was like staying in a country manor. Service was wonderful and so was the food. Lots of fun activities, just wish it had not rained so we could have done more! We booked spa treatments instead which were very good. Definitely recommend.
A gorgeous property with beautiful grounds. Expensive and the bed was an old-fashioned uncomfortable spring mattress. Food was average and service for dinner was extremely slow. Walking the grounds was wonderful, and our breakfast haggis and sandwich for lunch were quite good.
Staff were wonderfully welcoming and efficient throughout the stay. Room (Skye) was stunning - comfortable and very clean with the added bonus of a wood fire. Restaurant was very very good delivering fantastic setvice and food. This was a first visit and will happily return
