"This hotel is really really special. We loved everything about our stay. Very comfortable, lovely facilities- Pool is beautiful, but cold. Breakfast is ample and of a good quality. We ate at the wine bar both evenings. All of the staff there are friendly and very professional. I stay in many 5 star hotels that are not up to the standards offered here. I can see this hotel becoming very very popular. Thanks to everyone at The Lince Braga."

She went above and beyond to make things right, and it turned what could have been a frustrating moment into one of the best service experiences we've ever had at a hotel. "This is by no measure a 5-star property, but a well used 4-star facility. The upkeep is not really up to par, with mold in the bathroom, bathroom doors peeling severly due to water damage, stained towels etc. The breakfast is fine, but, again, not up to 4-star standards (including 5-star hotels in Portugal). The common spaces like the dining room show extensive damage due to use (and lack of maintenance?) and there's peeling paint in the hallways. However, the staff were exceedingly friendly and the price we paid in mid-May (around 150 € per night) was right for a 4-star place."
