"The kids club was great and the staff was very kind. The pools were great, The food options were quite limited throughout the day. Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM, and there is only one location available for breakfast, which makes it feel restricted.
There is a food truck on-site, but the offerings are mostly geared toward kids, lacking variety and not particularly healthy. In other places we’ve stayed, there is usually a fruit buffet available all day, along with a café-style area offering pastries and light bites. Here, there is no easy access to fresh fruit or a selection of pastries during the day.
Around 4 PM, if you want to sit and have something small with a drink, the only option available is cookies, with no real variety. Overall, the lack of food options and variety makes the experience feel less pampering and less enjoyable.
Additionally, there are no waiters providing service around the property, no room service available, and no bar on the beach, which further takes away from the overall experience.
On a positive note, the restaurants at the hotel were good. In summary, it’s a good place for children, and the kids’ club is excellent. For adults, however, it lacks indulgence, especially when it comes to food options."
"The staff Israel and Fernando we exemplary as front desk and very knowledgeable of the resort and their staff ! Our 30th anniversary was spectacular because of them upgrading us when room was available the last 3 days with a private pool, wine and chocolate covered strawberries was the best touch and the banner! We enjoyed the resort , beach, staff , activities, the weather was perfect low humidity which was a plus to our vacation ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
"Resort is a lot of fun and coba is solid even though you don’t have access to the rest of the property without spending more on a bracelet. Room was solid but they didn’t have a king bed so they offered to push our two small beds together (which didn’t happen so we did it ourselves). The mini fridge in the room also wasn’t working so coming back to the room was underwhelming from not having cold drinks in our area.
The staff was great and everyone was extremely kind to us and helpful so there are no complaints there.
The buffet was good and the drinks were great with a solid selection for both which was nice. "

"This was hands-down the best resort we have ever been to. It was super clean and the staff was extremely caring and friendly! Adan was our concierge and he was awesome! He got us into the restaurants we asked for and continually checked on us. He genuinely wanted us to enjoy our time! We also loved the spa! We did the hydrotherapy and wow!!! Gerard at the spa took us through it and was amazing (because we had no idea what we were doing). He was fantastic! He even made us a wonderful coffee! We just got home today and I absolutely recommend this resort!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!"
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka’an - Adults Only - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"It’s listed as a 5 star but it’s more of a 3 star resort. Food was mediocre at best. After our stay in Princess Yucatán in Sept 2025 (which is a luxury 5 star resort with exquisite food), we were excited for the food and the restaurants, but it was such a let down. Buffets were bad to mediocre. The steakhouse was so terrible.
Now saying that, the à la cartes are better quality. The Alux was the best and most delicious food I had there so I would recommend that restaurant. The seafood is good, Maiko was good, the smoked BBQ was good, Brazilian was ok. We also had 2 stomach aches during our stay. Could be attributed to food quality and cleanliness.
Oh and nothing is open late. Buffets and room service are closed at 10:30pm. There is a snack bar open till 1am. And breakfast ends at 10:30am.
The room was very basic and only had a bed sheet, no comforter. You had to request blankets and they were flannel blankets. You could hear the music from the pool blaring at 11am. So no sleeping in if that’s your thing.
Beaches are meh. Lots of seaweed or rocky. I got a bunch of sand flea bites all over my legs (about 40 of them), so bring bug spray.
Aside from that the rest is good. Beautiful pools, lots of activities to do in each resort and I still had fun and a great experience. Oh, and the crowd is older so if you wanna party you have to go to the other resorts, mainly Tequila, Coba and La Hacienda. Great place for drinks, pools and activities but not for food. Hope this helps."
"Nice the hotel not in a busy, tourist area. Tony, Norma and Socorro kind, informative and helpful. Drawback, a local market to biy necessary items, snacks helpful. Overall beautiful location Gracias"

"Absolutely amazing!! I had such a good experience for our honeymoon. Everything felt extremely safe. They respected our privacy. The food was amazing and the resort was absolutely beautiful. "
"The room was clean and had fabulous views through the enormous window in the living room and small balcony in the bedroom. Unfortunately the seaweed on the beach was particularly bad which rendered the beach unusable but there was a great bar called La Buena Vida next door with a pool, good food and reasonably priced beer. Alternatively Akumal beach (with much less seaweed) was a 10 minute walk down the road. I would definitely recommend."
