"This hotel has seen better days, but the view can't be seen from anywhere even remotely in its price range. Unfortunately there were some issues with my room. The carpet was very wet right next to the bed and so it was musty and I got wet socks getting out of bed. It's likely it was from the aircon unit but nonetheless it's not what I'd expect. The carpet seemed like it'd been wet for a while. Sound travelled really clearly across rooms, especially from cleaning staff knocking on doors and calling out. The balcony has a lovely view but as the photo shows and staff mentioned to me, the door is left open to it in between visitors as well as suggested when you go out to the balcony. They say you could get locked out; it feels like an odd solution to leave the door open rather than fixing doors. They also said it stops the rooms from getting musty: again it seems an odd thing given that anything could fly in the door into the room while the door is open?? The bathroom seemed recently renovated and was nice and clean, however the ceiling exhaust fan didn't work. The shower was warm but not hot. All up it's a fine enough spot but unless a solid renovation is done it's not great. The view is awesome though."
