That's why our beds are huge and comfy, the movies and Wi-Fi free, and the showers truly jetlag busting. We added a large storage drawer under each bed and we kept clutter in the rooms to a minimum. And as always, our living rooms (not your ordinary lobbies!) and everything in them (books, art, TV) are all yours to enjoy every time you visit us. Regarding your mention on the location of the hotel; Our hotel is located within 5 minutes walking distance of "Amsterdam Zuid" railway station. There are several ways to commute from/to the city center; Walking is definitely a nice way to explore the city and the neighboring area - however the options worthwhile to consider are as well; the tram line 5, departing just at the corner of the hotel and taking you via the Museumsquare, Rijksmuseum, to the Leidseplein and through the Jordaan area or the so called super fast "North - South line", metro line 52 taking you in 10 minutes to reach the center of Amsterdam. We have been exploring new room layouts for future hotels, and making adjustments (where possible) to existing locations. Our rooms are a little weird and wonderful, and in creating citizenM we challenged the traditional hotel industry and re-designed the hotel room with the mobile citizen in mind.Instead of an abundance of space which is added to the room price, we focused on compact rooms with all the necessary luxuries today's traveler desires. Such as a huge comfy XXL bed, power rain shower, smart design and technology.
