"I was quite happy with the Dunes. Motel accommodations that achieve retro cool without really trying. A real Schlage key on a plastic diamond-shaped motel fob straight out of 1972. The room was dated and smaller than most modern chains, but the fixtures and furnishings were in good shape and the room was clean, safe, and comfortable. Super handy to have a real cafe breakfast on premise. Staff was friendly and accommodating, too. I will be returning every time I visit Alamosa!"

"I would have given the 5 stars..if not for the broken elevator (broken for awhile,apparently).. . The staff was kind in breaking the news. Tough when it’s not their fault.I was booked for the top floor & there were no other rooms avail.3 flights and 3 trips up and down. My back was previously messed up…so this was an inconvenience. To be honest I almost fell twice falling backwards. The pool and other amenities were excellent. Again the staff is excellent, the room clean and excellent, and amenities were great."
