Close to JR Aomori Station, Furukawa and Auga Markets. Typical Toyoko Inn hotel, small rooms but clean. Free breakfast was great! Could hear guests in other rooms talking very loud.

The Stay Toyoko Inn Aomori Ekimae is located close by Aomori Station (you can see it from outside the station). It is a very close walk from the station. Compared to most of the other similar hotel I stayed at in this price range, I prefer this one the most. Most likely due to the better lighting. Most rooms in the hotel (especially ones in upper floor) have nice natural lighting. This provide a more enjoyable experience. The particular room they provide me also had a nice view of the bridge, which is a plus. The room itself is nice and clean. It came with most of the essential amenities, but don't expect fanciness. They also provide free breakfast if you desire. All in all, it was a good experience. The Miscellaneous The hotel is located in a good location with various shops nearby. There is a Lovina shopping mall and the Nebuta Museum in close proximity. There are various restaurants and convenient stores. But if you are looking for something more touristy, you might have to go out of the way a bit. They have automatic check in via kiosks. But in case they do not work, the staffs are very sincere and helpful in resolving the issue.

We had an amazing one night stay here! The room is clean and spacious for a family of 3. Love the tactfulness of the staff and their services provided! I’m surprised they even allow us to pack our breakfast up to our room to consume it (maybe to reduce crowd). Overall, it was a wonderful experience and looking forward to come back here again!

Great location (you can see it from the train station - it's basically across the street from the train station, about 1 1/2 blocks from the A-factory and a block from the tourist office. Nice breakfast buffet. Bed is slightly hard (true of all Japanese hotels). Wifi is good

Pleasant stay at Toyoko Inn
The hotel is very close to the Aomori train station (east entry/exit). The staff is friendly. They have amenities available on the ground floor (bathrobe (yukata), soap, razor, etc.). The room bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap. The breakfast had a variety of food and you could take it go if needed. Just know the bed mattress is firm.

The hotel was located opposite the station, about 5 to 10 mins walk away, not fully sheltered path though. But service was good and rooms were quite clean. There was complementary breakfast, thank you!

Friendly and helpful staff but not much English spoken. The room was small but you could fit luggage under the bed. Good location near restaurants, museums and the main railway station.

A well thought out hotel. The rooms are not large but laid out well with storage under the bed a large window and a large bathtub I could actually use. As with the one in Akita that we also stayed it is a no frills type of place, close to the JR station but had anything we wanted, even a nice sewing kit on loan, washer and dryer. I would really like to visit this hotel chain in the future but don't like the late check in and early check out 1600/1000. Then they want you out of the room for cleaning between 1000 and 1600 hours. We came back about 1 pm to put something in the room and was told no cleaning now, but they did allow me to go up.The next day 10 am sharp the phone rings need to clean room. I understand the need to access the room for cleaning but am I renting the room for only 12 hours out of a 24 hour day?

Smoking rooms for non-smokers = unpleasant stay
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and were assigned smoking rooms when i was sure i booked non-smoking. We don’t smoke so no reason why i would have booked smoking rooms. In any case the hotel was full and the staff was not able to change our rooms. Otherwise, as a business hotel, it was efficient enough. Great location too whixh is great on such cold and snowy days.

Good Stay near Aomori Station
The hotel was relatively new.I stayed for 1 night in a single queen no smoking room and it was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Although, english is not their strong suit they were able to get their point across and had instructions on a piece of paper for english speakers which was very helpful. The hotel was very convenient as it was just about a min or 2 from Aomori station and even closer to the Nebuta Museum and A-Store which I only had time to visit in Aomori. They also had breakfast from 6:30am to 9am as well which is convenient. Overall, a very good stay and highly recommend.

Overall I was very happy with this hotel, with my only complaint being that it lacked the amenities that most hotels in Japan provide (e.g., free toiletry packets, bathroom amenities, pajamas). The bed was firm but in a comfortable way, and the room was quite clean. The free breakfast was reasonable, and the location was excellent. (The hotel is just across the street from Aomori station.) For the very low nightly price, I was pleased with this hotel. There were only two laundry machines in the lobby so I had to wait until the morning for one to be free, but the fact that there were laundry machines at all was great. This hotel would not be satisfying to someone looking for luxury, but if you're a budget traveler and you want a clean hotel that is very close to the train station, this place is perfect. (The free breakfast adds to the value, too.)

Clean, perfect location but bad breakfast.
The location is perfect, very close to the train and bus station. The room is slightly big than other Toyoko. The service and clean lever keep good. But one thing: the breakfast is not as good as other Toyoko inns, less food items, and long queue in the morning, as most people are for the morning first bus to Oirase Gorge.
