โWe choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need. โ
โThe accommodation was very good. To a high standard and the staff where great. The pub uts self was clean tidy and well set out. The staff again where great. A fantastic breakfast and eveni g meal that I had was very good. I would recommend this place.โ
โVeldig hyggelig og sjarmerende lite hotell med fantastiske verter.
Gammelt bygg som er satt i stand. Rent og pent. God frokost. Et sted รฅ fรธle deg hjemme. โ
โSuper stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)โ
โThis hotel is perfect for anyone visiting The Emporium.
Everything one needs and only five minutes away.
The young lady on reception/bar was really friendly and chatty and was a joy to be served by . โ
โSecond visit and a very warm welcome once again, we stayed in the main building this time, plenty of stairs to room six, but a big room with a massive bed and nice views down the high streetโ
โI wasnโt sure what to expect due to mixed reviews. However I had a ground floor room as requested. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and importantly for me the hairdryer was good. The bathroom had a bath with a shower. The overhead shower was powerfully enough and the water was hot. I wasnโt disturbed by noise, it was peaceful. My tv worked. Kettle was clean.
The only downside was my room felt a bit cold. I didnโt ask about the heating, maybe if I had theyโd have helped.
Breakfast was...
โLovely comfy bed the only problem was horrible smell drains in reception etc we should been told before then I would not stay the nite it, yes means phone everyone or in box message โ
โSpent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh!
We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....
โHad a lovely meal, during our stay, for our daughter's graduation. We also had cocktails which were excellent. The option of air conditioning would be a bonus, but we were provided with a fan and the fact that you can open a window meant that we had a comfortable room temperature. All the staff were lovely, Lesley was particularly helpful. We have stayed here previously and the refurbishments have made it an even better experience.โ
