“I did not get use of the room as the hotel was locked up despite calling and leaving messages there was no reply . I had the inconvenience of having to travel 12 miles to find another hotel .”

“The hotel has has a recent upgrade and looks amazing. Set in beautiful grounds and walking distance stroll into town. Upon arrival we had a lovely welcome by staff and our room was lovely too. The stairs are beautiful and the facilities and areas around the ground floor of the hotel are really comfortable and relaxing to enjoy. Parking is only £5 for 24 hours and the staff are so friendly and helpful.”

The restaurant was excellent in the evenings. The location is fantastic with wonderful views of the beautiful Peak countryside.”

“While the Hotel is in a super location it is in need of updating. There was no drawers in the room to put clothes in and room157 had water dripping from a light fitting in the bathroom. This has obviously happened for some time as there was staining on that part of the ceiling. I reported this to reception as we checked out. There was no lu brush and we had to ask for another toilet roll as only one half used was provided. The food was average. Not somewhere we would stay again”
