“I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location was excellent, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of options. “Very helpful owners with parking ”

“We were very lucky to get a parking spot as it was just on the road at the front of the building. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately the en-suite consisted of toilet and shower only - the wash hand basin was in the bedroom where there were no towel rails. The gentleman who greeted us was excellent as he had to do everything including cooking the breakfasts due to his manager being unwell.”

“A great bedroom in a house that's full of character. En-suite shower-room with a fabulous shower. Warm and welcoming hosts. Fantastic breakfast with seriously good vegetarian options. Go there! We certainly will again. ”

“Room was freezing cold, no heating on, kettle didn't work. They did offer to change our room but other room was also unheated. As check in is 2pm.We checked in at 4.40pm 14th Feb, room was icy cold. Hot water was temperamental. Room should have bern warm & water hot, Hubby had cold shower i gave that a miss.should be heated by then”

“We recently attended a nearby wedding and stayed at The Five Bells, an amazing family-run pub and B&B. The family room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped, with complimentary toiletries that were especially appreciated as we’d forgotten ours at home. Mary and her daughters were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lovely place.”

“Charming hotel and great location. Bar and restaurant onsite were very nice and handy. Breakfast was amazing! Hospitality of the staff, also amazing. Don't let limited parking scare you, they have a nice arrangement for inexpensive overnight parking just across the street. Older facility, so don't expect air conditioning, and of course we stayed there during a historical heat wave in the UK for May. On normal nights, I think temps would be fine. Would recommend and stay at again.”

“It’s a very old and unique building, the main hotel has been updated to an excellent standard, Going to the breakfast room on the -1 level, you can see photos of the area and the entrance to the breakfast room tunnels under the main load and. Has a sea front terrace on the floor and the floor above. The young staff in the complex were helpful and smart”

“We were expecting a well maintained, boutique hotel, sadly it was not. Although refurbished in Nov 2014, the state of our room (1) lacked maintenance. Although each was relatively minor, when 10 issues are present, then the result is a disappointment. I relayed these to the receptionist on departure, and she seemed reluctant to seriously acknowledge the problem. This summed up the general feeling of laissez-faire.”

“Parked right outside entrance in semi private parking, very easy registration, room spacious,clean, blackout curtains, and bathroom with wonderful big tub!!! Great Bombay Saturday dinner selection - what a lovely extra surprise. Lovely, attentive and efficient staff, every one, from chefs to reception. Peaceful landscaped grounds for refreshing wander after long drive. Superb value breakfast. Highly recommend.”

“Getting to the first Floor was not easy with a large luggage since the staircase is so narrow. No indication that There was no elevators. Room too noisy at night with fast car traffic passing by. the Windows had to ne openned beause of the hot weather. Not a good night sleep.”

“This is a basic, old, seaside hotel on the sea front. Price wise, if there hadn't been any issues, I would say you get what you pay for. However, there were issues, I made a pay on arrival booking for 5 rooms, they took two of the payments from my account several days before my stay then lied saying EXPEDIA had taken them. They had not. They were quite rude in their replies giving all sorts of excuses and blaming Expedia. The biggest issue was that there was no hot water in any of the rooms, ...
