We had a wonderful stay at Churchill Guest House. This beautiful historic building is full of character, with thoughtful touches that make it feel warm, authentic and truly cared for. Our room was cosy, spacious and spotless, with a very comfortable bed. Falling asleep to the gentle sound of the seagulls was wonderfully peaceful, and the refurbished bathroom, bathrobes and fan were much appreciated during the warm weather. Alex was a fantastic host, friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with great local recommendations. The location is perfect for exploring both the White Cliffs and Dover Castle.

Very welcoming and helpful. Self serve breakfast was great with so many options. Easy walk from train station and to the Market Square. Very clean and accommodating should you need early or late baggage storage. Staff will assist with scheduling transport to cruise terminal. Highly recommend. Fabulous stay. Near historic White Horse Salon and St. James Church. Can’t praise enough.

We had a fantastic stay at Churchill Gardens. Alex was very helpful and it was great to park at the property. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast. There is a shared kitchen and various delicious items are provided from cereals, granola, yoghurt, fruit to bread, toast, crumpets, eggs and muffins. All the utensils and things for cooking are also provided such as sauces and oils so you can make an evening meal if you want to. The room (Victoria) was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with all soaps, shampoos and even robes provided. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Thanks to Alex and his team

Delightful stay

What an amazing place! The decor was beautiful and everything was so clean. My room was lovely and felt very comfortable, and the great location made exploring easy. I was also impressed by how fully stocked and spotless the kitchen was. Alex was a wonderful host who made me feel so welcome.

Cosy, independent hotel in good location

Host was friendly and welcoming and helped with information about the local area. Room was lovely with lots of extras you might need while you're away, and self catering kitchen was a great addition. Would stay here again next time I'm in Dover.

We only booked the night before our stay but Alex was great with his communication. He was very accommodating with parking. Our room was available early so we checked in early. The room was clean & comfortable. Nice idea of the help yourself breakfast in a very clean & well equipped communal kitchen. We enjoyed our one night stay very much.

My stay at the Churchill Guest House was wonderful! The owner was very friendly, informative, and helpful, with a lot of tips on what to see and do in the area. The room was quite comfortable, and the shared kitchen area had everything you needed for a great breakfast and all the items needed to prepare food for yourself at other times! If I could give it 6 STARS, I definitely would!!

Our host, Alex, was very welcoming, forthcoming with a lot of useful information and the guest house had lots to offer in terms of breakfast options. Alex was so accommodating, even willing to pick up oat milk as a dairy alternative. The beds were super comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Churchill Guesthouse! We stayed in the Victoria Room, which features a charming little enclosed garden room off to the side. The decor was lovely, the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and we had the best night’s sleep listening to the rain. Alex greeted us upon arrival and was so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area, he even helped us with our luggage. We truly wish we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend staying here!

Property owner is extremely helpful and takes great care to make sure you are comfortable, informed, and will arrange taxi service for you, too. Room and facility is well maintained, quiet, and was within walking distance for us to the white cliffs, Dover Castle, eateries, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

Alex is an amazing host, friendly, helpful and informative. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Easy walk to coffee, shops and restaurants. I will be returning to Dover next summer and will definitely stay here again.
