We recently stayed for 2 nights at Baos. The day club area the staff and the vibe were great. Huge shout out to alberto! This review is for the hotel and the service. We came down for breakfast. The guy taking our order didn’t write any of it down- it was 3 of us. They forgot my mom’s chilaquiles, an order of fruit and a milkshake. There was a family next to us who got their full order- I proceeded to cancel our items. The excuse was “the cook stepped out”. Will not be returning. And yes you do have to go up the stairs with your luggage- no help.

The rooms were too cramped. No closet, no safe to store valuables and no tables to set our stuff down. The restaurant was playing extremely loud explicit sexual music even with young children around. My 78 year old mother had to leave the premises because of the vulgarity of the songs. This was around 4pm. I had to ask them to do something about it so they changed the music. This is not a family orientated hotel. It's in the middle of nowhere, hard to get a cell phone signal. No cabs readily available, they have to be summons from the main town which costs more. No stores around. We ended up checking out the same day we checked in. We never spent a single night at all. Unfortunately, I couldn't cancel my reservation because it was past the day I was allowed to cancel because I trusted in Expedia backing this hotel.

Well maintained but probably won't stay again
Great things about this place: 1) very clean; 2) really nice people working here, especially the female server at breakfast; and 3) everything, including a/c, worked great; 4) LOTS of geckos at night that stayed outdoors (my daughter loves lizards). Not-so-great things: 1) we had a family room with 3 beds but hardly any furniture, so we ran out of surface space very quickly. Not even a table; 2) of the 4 nights we stayed there, there was really LOUD music from the hotel bar late into the night, with the bass up so high that it shook our room; and 3) blood sucking bugs (jejenes) came out at night and kept us in the room starting about 5. I know that's not something the hotel can control, but it did detract from the place.

La estancia estuvo bien a secas y que hace que no les califique mejor son dos cosas, al estar en la playa las instalaciones requieren de mucha limpieza ya que hay bichos, arena y en general todo se oxida super rapido. La habitacion estaba limpia pero las ventanas y sus marcos tenian telarañas y bichos miertos esos detalles hacen que te de desconfianza. Y otro detalle es que el check out es a las 12:00 pm y eran las 11:30 am y ya nos habian cortado el agua y la luz de la habitacion... como mensaje subliminal de que ya nos saliéramos de la habitacion. De hecho salimos temprano a desayunar y solo regresamos a recoger maletas pero queriamos bañarnos y no fue posible. Ese detalle deja mucho que desear. Le agredecimos a la señora de la limpieza con su respectivo estímulo $$ pero en definitiva esos detalles los deben de cuidar bastante. En cuanto al bar del hotel que es muy socorrido sugiero limpien las sillas pues en la mia habia hormigas rojas y telarañas (soy alérgica a las hormigas) asi que solo tomamos una bebida y salimos de ahi, eso significó menos ganancias para el hotel.

Las 2 albercas muy pequeñas, demasiados insectos, incluso en el restaurante cerrado, moscas muertas sobre mesas y sillas, la puerta del baño es tipo persiana, se puede ver a través, el último día ya no nos dejaron papel higiénico, ocupamos el que traíamos nosotros, algunas toallas ya rasgadas El trato del personal bien, amables.
