Although the hotel is situated slightly outside the city, it is wonderful—tucked away amidst peaceful, lush greenery; its Italian-style architecture is beautifully maintained and spotless. We stayed for 2 nights in a suite and it was exactly like the photos with great views from the balcony. It was well appointed. Our favorite thing was the deep soaking tub. The pool was also very nice. One pool and one hot tub with jets. My wife and I both had spa treatments, which were lovely. The only 2 things I could say to improve would be to have options for vegans on the menu in the restaurant. Also missing was the steam room wasn’t working and there was no water for the sauna. The front desk was very helpful for anything we needed.

We liked our suite with the soaking tub. The QR code for pool food service did not work so We could not get food even though it was advertised. We ordered dinner in our room, the focaccia bread was over toasted, the bolognese was so salty and the pasta was overcooked, the cannolis were unsweetened. Breakfast steak sandwich was flavorless. The food was super overpriced for the quality of food.

This is a beautiful hotel with a friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a welcoming atmosphere. There is a bar and restaurant on site and the bar was quite lively for a Monday night when we arrived. Our room featured a large soaking tub, tons of space, and spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country. Would highly recommend Hotel Viata to anyone staying in the Austin area.
