"Grand, historic charm characterize the experience here. The hotel was built in 1893, so the building had its quirks, but these add to the distinctive atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Again the building is quite old, and our suite did not have a thermostat nor an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but it was comfortable nonetheless, as the ceiling fan and open windows did the trick. "

"We stayed there just a little after the aspen trees had peaked in their color. Breakfast was no longer served, but a continental breakfast was provided for each guest along with hot coffee and tea. Dinner was excellent and the staff were terrific."

"We were just passing through, but this is a lovely hotel. The staff was friendly on several interactions. I was able to do some laundry after a muddy hike. We ordered food from the restaurant to take back to the room and it was delicious. "
