"Property was clean and had fun things setup for guests to use such as giant games like connect 4. The rooms were clean and nice smelling (smelled like cedar). The only thing it was missing was breakfast but that was okay because we got out of there quickly in the morning. We would definitely stay again if in the area."

"Despite the name, this is not a B&B - it's a few rooms on the back of the owner's home. The guests share a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and some outdoor deck space. A few days before we arrived, the owner sent a message saying he doesn't provide breakfast (which other reviews have noted but I hadn't read until after we arrived), and suggested picking up groceries on our way, and he refunded $10/day/person to cover those (at checkout). Good: The bedroom was large and had a comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The shared space with other guests was bright and comfortable, with great views of the lake. The kitchen was fully equipped, so cooking meals there would have been easy (although we didn't). The bathroom had lots of nice towels. The owner was generous in sharing the laundry facilities - and even folded our laundry (which was a surprise!) when I went out before it was done. Bad: Maintenance isn't great. The door to our bedroom took a lot of work to open & close. Many of the windows don't open. The shower had a bottle of shampoo, two bottles of conditioner.... and no soap. The air conditioning in the bedroom (it was *really* hot) was very noisy and rattled. Really bad (but not the owner's fault): Cell service and wifi are pretty much unusable. It's a fabulous location, and the price wasn't bad. I wish the name were more accurate, and the maintenance were better."

"The place was dog friendly and near everything we wanted to see. We stayed for 5 nights, and we learned that housekeeping does not enter the room until you leave. Not a big deal at all, I just wish I knew either beforehand or at checkout. I had to return/exchange our used towels for new ones and take out our trash. Again, not a big deal at all, just wish I had known beforehand. The staff was really great to us. Super accommodating of our dog, and helpful with all of our questions. We mainly used the room for sleeping, we were out and about 12+ hours a day. For that purpose, we would definitely recommend a stay here."

"I found that the motel was in a perfect location. Being on the lake was a plus. The view and sunsets were great. Although, the motel is older, it's was well maintained and clean. The accommodation worked well and the kitchen had every you needed for cooking and preparing food. The lady at the desk was friendly, helpful and accommodating. What a beautiful area."

"This was a clean, comfortable place to stay, close to Munising. The staff was so kind, and even cleaned our room on a 2 night stay. Very unexpected, but nice. From the hotel we were close enough to go see waterfalls, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi and even made an hour trip up to Grand Marais to hunt for Yooperlite. The location was great."
