Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel

Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"For a hotel built 700 years ago, everything worked well and nothing was falling apart. The location was excellent right in the heart of old town, but still a quick walk from cool spots like Telliskivi creative city and the new Rotermann quarter. The front desk staff was attentive and very helpful. When we checked in, we were given room #108. It had two levels with the bed up very steep long staircase, which could have been fun if we were not in our sixties. We turned around and asked for a different superior room that is more suitable for our old bones, especially given that we were staying in the hotel for a week. At the front desk, Dareliah (hope I spelled that right), consulted with her boss and was able to quickly change our room to a great one. The breakfast included in the price was great, although after a week of eating the same one every morning, got to be a bit repetitive. Note to management: if possible, a little variety from day to day would be good for those who stay in your hotel longer."

"Great location opposite Freedom Square on edge of Old Town. Large bright room. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Early check in. Not the most attractive hotel to look at from the outside but don’t let that put you off."
