Staff at the office spoke very good english and were very helpful. Room clean, but we would've appreciated if they had emptied the trash more often. :) Very well equiped gym. Over all it was a very nice stay.

Good managers

Nice hotel and quiet area. What really set it apart was the manager. She was very concerned that we have a good time and get to experience the real Bangkok and not just the tourist areas.

Challenging to Find

This place can be a challenge to get to. You will have to traverse some narrow roads to get there. Also, trying to communicate with a taxi driver to tell them where to go can be rather difficult, unless you have GPS or a Mobile WiFi device and a smartphone with Google maps. The staff was friendly, although some of them didn't speak English all that well. The location is very close to Wat Arun, a well-known temple in Bangkok. From Wat Arun, you can take a ferry across the river to Wat Pho, Temple of the reclining Buddha and The Grand Palace. I wouldn't recommend staying there for more than 3 or 4 days. You could easily see everything in the nearby area within that time frame. We rented a 2 bedroom apartment style room for about $80/night including taxes and fees. The pool is outside, which seems to be common in Bangkok. Bring sunscreen or buy it there. The average taxi cost to get anywhere from here was around 100 baht or slightly more ($4 US).

Hotellet var helt okej men ligger ganska offside. Det är svårt att ta sig dit med allmänna kommunikationsmedel. Å andra sidan är det väldigt lugnt och skönt och ingen störande trafik. När jag var på Big C supermarket tror jag att jag var den enda utlänningen där.

Sivilai Place was very clean, check-in was easy, the restaurant food, although very slow, was good and affordable. I loved that it had a real pool to do laps in and connecting tennis courts. We used it as our place to stay near Siriraj Hospital so it worked out great for us. The internet barely worked but that was the only downside.

Hotel near tourist area

This is the second time in 3 weeks I have stayed here and the staff are friendly, there is a great ozone pool so no red eyes. I would recommend this hotel if you want a good value stay near the city tourist areas but the air con is noisy

Convenient for tourist sites

We only stayed for one night but it served the purpose - the pool was good to relax by and the cafe offered food at low prices although not to a high standard but adequate. The prices of the mini bar in the room were almost as low as I get in my local shop in Pranburi

Het hotel ligt centraal in een rustige buurt met een groot zwembad. Kamers zijn groot, en schoon. Maar het meest opvallend is het personeel; Zij spreken erg goed engels en doen er alles aan om je verblijf in Bangkok zo prettig mogelijk te laten verlopen. De antwoorden die ze voor je hebben zijn altijd net meer dan je vroeg, en erg waardevol! De kamers zijn goed, en het zwembad groot, dit hotel vind ik een echte aanrader! Bovendien is er een 'bibiliotheek' met boeken in alle talen voor tijdens je verblijf, een aantal tennisbanen en een sportzaal. Ook is er een kleine koffie bar met redelijke koffie!
