Bare Island Tours

The sandstone in this area is amazing. Most of Sydney's base is sandstone and clay. The colours that come out are stunning. This area is also where James Cook set up for a British Colony in 1770 in Botany Bay (Same area as this photo). Only a short bus ride or drive from the city center of Sydney. #nature

Botany Bay is full of picturesque views. This shot of Bare Island is one of my favorites. Bare Island was discovered by Captain Cook in 1770 and later a fort was built upon it. The views from the island are incredible as well.

Bare Island just after sunrise, if you check out the last picture I uploaded of the bridge, this is the same bridge from a different angle! My kids love it visiting this place on a weekend, and it can get quite busy as well.

Beautiful beach on the south east coast of Sydney. The sand isn't as fine as some of the other eastern beaches but it was a beautiful spot. We were able to go around on the rocks and experience the waves crashing in. It was pretty rocky and it felt like we were jumping around on moon/crater/lava fields.

I recommend photographing this place during the summer. Also the sun sets are lengthy and in a good area.

The main attraction is the Caltex Jetty that unloads terrible oily stuff from the cargo ships. So you may get a large ship docked at the end of it.

NOTE: Its a good 2hr drive from Sydney
