“Great place to stay, only 10 minute walk to Waitrose”

“It was very well presented in all aspects. The kitchen staff were good and helpful. The reception staff were well dressed and presented themselves very professionally rooms were very neat and clean. Would come again when visiting my mother everything is nearby.”

“Excellent check in with friendly staff. The room was mostly clean just a little unclean under the sink in the bathroom on the tiles in room 109. The bathroom flooded when using the shower and this was not just me as the wood on the bottom of the door was expended so suggests is a normal practice. The bathroom also had a wire attached to the radiator above the bath that did not look well covered. So no issues with the room but bathroom needs some love overall. “We had a 1 hr wait for our room to be ready .spacious and clean but tatty and needing redecorating .wallpaper hanging off the walls shabby furniture. Towels and bedding good. below average standard. Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing. I could not recommend this hotel The staff were brilliant and the best thing about this hotel”

“We had a two night stay here for our anniversary. Cannot fault anything. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was a great experience lots of choices from cold and hot options. Lovely garden to sit and relax. Had a lovely walk along the canal. Overall a great experience. ”

“The indoor pool was quite small and tended to be very busy with children, so it wasn’t the most relaxing experience. However, the room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with Molton Brown toiletries provided, and having a bath in the room was a lovely touch. The cooked breakfast was also excellent and really enjoyable each morning. That said, I do think the property could benefit from some general maintenance and updating in certain areas.”

“Clean room nicely appointed. Quaint bar with wood fire and good selection of drinks including local ales. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was cereals and breakfast sandwiches (bacon, eggs etc) . Would stay again if in that area.”

“Arrived and checked in quickly. Efficient young chap did all the preliminaries and we headed to our room. Room was in the main building at the front. Large room with plenty of wall lights and lamps as well as spot lights. Lovely sized room and bathroom. Plenty of boiling hot water as soon as the tap was turned. Beds were clean and very comfy. Room had everything we needed including a kettle which we didn’t expect. A selection of mismatched furniture but adequate for the room. We had food on the...
