"Lovely place simultaneously close to the sights yet peaceful and "away from it all." Pressed coffee and delicious continental breakfast buffet got us off to a great start. Friendly and helpful staff, backyard garden and nearby parks made this a memorable stay."

"Booked through hotels.com. Unfortunately only had queen size bed rooms available on offer. The bed is too small for 2 people. Room wasn’t very big but had everything you needed. The welcome wasn’t great and came across that you were just another number staying and not a paying customer."
"The Pros
Clean room,
Comfy Bed
Nice selection of beverages
Nice dinner
Good location
The Cons
Breakfast was mediocre
Shower had mind of its own going from boiling to freezing
Room very hot and stuffy, small fan not adequate for room size
The location was good but there was alot of noise at night if you had windows open.
No wardrobe in room
No fridge
Tv only had minimal freeview channels. No Internet channels and view was obscured from one side of bed.
Although room info said morning papers were available this is not a service offered."
"Quirky old building, so, some steep staircases. Unfortunately we arrived whilst they were doing some renovations, so, not everything was available. But the continental breakfast was good the next morning. The rooms were ok, we were lucky to get a river view (for free, if booked in advance that costs extra) quite a small twin room, en suite bathroom. Sadly no air con, we did have a small fan and left the patio doors open overnight. The bathroom was ok, the duty manager said they are all being refurbished over winter. Shower was average, not much pressure and took a couple of minutes ti figure out. They only had one small towel rail, so, I suggested to the manager about perhaps a couple of hooks on the back of the bathroom door. Then he says they are replacing over winter, so they won't add hooks yet.
In the room there were tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge, a desk, a small wardrobe with a safe inside and even an iron and ironing board. Sockets by the desk had USB sockets too. Overall nice. I think once the refurbishment is completed it will be cracking. There's also a bar with outdoor seating, as well as outdoor seating by the river. The hotel is next to a toll bridge which does cause queuing. £1.20 to cross over in a car.
Parking is limited, first come first served. £10 for the whole stay, which is good value. I'd say there are perhaps15 spaces. You pay when you check out. The staff were nice. Ellie the duty manager was particularly lovely."
"The hotel is conveniently located close to the centre of Bath and within easy walking distance of the main attractions. We stayed in a double room, which was a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was supplied with clean towels, and the shower was spacious and worked well.
Unfortunately, there were a few drawbacks. We had breakfast during our stay, but much of the food was overcooked. The toilet also had visible mould around the rim where the water flows, which was disappointing from a cleanliness perspective.
Overall, the hotel was pleasant enough, but it felt somewhat overpriced for what was offered. In particular, the £22 parking charge seemed excessive and added significantly to the overall cost of the stay."
