โOn entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really canโt fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 โ
โBeautiful hotel, decor was fantastic, everything spotless and of the highest standard. Breakfast was amazing - restaurant standard. Canโt recommend this place highly enough, 5 mins walk down the hill to the town โ
โLovely hotel room, nice furnishings and decor. Staff were very helpful at breakfast with gluten free options being taken care of. Hotel building itself was stunning - especially bar and restaurant. โ
โAn overnight stay needed before a uni offer day at Durham., I just wish we could have stayed longer.
Clean, comfortable, everything you could possibly need and the views !
Hopefully the uni offer will be accepted and I can stay again for a while longer !โ
โA fantastic castle experience: itโs so much more interesting to stay in one than just looking. The staff were friendly and helpful and food was good too. There were a lot of stairs to negotiate to reach our top floor accommodation.โ
โNot great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.โ
โThe room was comfortable and quiet. Staff were welcoming and the breakfast was great. We ate at the pub on a couple of evenings. The food was excellent. Would highly recommend. โ
โBright, spacious room in this lovely hotel. Bar area works v well and itโs nice to be able to sit outside.
Excellent central location means you an walk everywhere. Highly recommended.โ
