โWe had a lovely spacious room which included a small sofa, so it was comfortable to return to in the evening and watch tv. The downside was the room was at the top of the building up two flights of stairs, so not good for people with limited mobility or heavy bags. The ensuite was very small but the shower was powerful and the towels of good quality. Just a 10 minute walk to centre of Harrogate and restaurants.โ
โOn entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really canโt fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 โ
โNot great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.โ
โAlthough the hotel is looking "tired", e.g. light fittings hanging off in the bathroom, I felt safe. Just wanted somewhere to sleep for 1 night, therefore idealโ
โFriendliest staff Iโve ever met at a hotel had to move rooms due to noisy air conditioning units outside our window but accommodated us no problem couldnโt do enough for you definitely will go back thanks for a great weekend โ
โAs part of our honeymoon road trip my good lady wife wanted to see Beamish so the holiday inn was a good choice location wise. From the start the hotel, staff and managers were top notch even going out of their way to manage my accessibility and food allergy issues. Absolutely will be back again and again. โ
โWe stayed as a group of 8 ladies, we we watching a show at the stage making this apartment the perfect location. Directly outside the metro station, with a few minutes walk. The apartment had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean and the beds were super comfy. Would highly recommend โ
โBeautiful setting, walked through the lavender bushes after a delicious Sunday roast. Room is amazing and the staff are so lovely. All made for a relaxing, overnight stay.โ
โAbsolutely loved our stay at 40 Winks, the room was so beautiful with a gorgeous view of the Cathedral. It felt romantic, relaxing and special. Only a 5-10 minute walk to get to the main attractions and lots of food options. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone staying in Durham. โ
โThere were no cocktails to be had At All ! The pillows need changing as they are like bricks and the Showers need a shower mat as it becomes very, very slippery.
This is a shame, because everything else was Great.โ
