We very much enjoyed our one night stay in Bayeaux. Fred greeted us and was so very nice and welcoming!! Nice bedroom with balcony with view of the Cathedral was excellent. Very large bathroom was really appreciated. Breakfast the next morning before our tour was satisfying with milk, tea, coffee, croissants, selection of sourdough, jams, yogurt, fruit, etc. Much appreciated was them storing our luggage for our day tour the following day. Thanks so much and we will definitely stay at this beautiful place again when returning to Bayeaux!!

We stayed in the guesthouse in the back with three bedrooms and three toilets and showers with a kitchen. Large space for six. Bayeaux is lovely and the Castel is a perfect location within it.

Fred was so friendly and accommodating. I needed a place to host a zoom meeting and he allowed me to use a space that was private and otherwise not available. Parking was so convenient and very reasonable.

I will keep this simple. This is place is a dump. A terrible hotel. We were placed on the third floor and the building has no lift. So I had to carry my wife’s and my luggage up 3 flights of stairs. I am 71 years old, in good shape, so it was not a problem, the greeter didn’t offer any assistance. He sat outside on the patio eating a sandwich while I carried our luggage into a terribly laid out room which was dirty and shabby. The breakfast the next morning was the bare minimum of acceptable. Awful hospitality in every way. The people who operate this establishment have no joy in being in the hospitality business and it shows in every possible way.

Fred was very friendly when we checked in. We were so happy with our on-site parking, and 100m walk to see Notre Dame & restaurants. Our 2nd floor room was so beautiful and the balcony was lovely. The breakfast was perfect - coffee, amazing croissants, French cheeses, bread & jam, fruit and cereal. We wish we stayed longer! Next time!!

I love the Hotel Castel. The hotel is lovely, rooms are great! Staff very friendly. Location is ideal. Close to Centre Ville and train station. Only suggestions would be: pillows are very hard on bed. And shampoo and conditioner in showers would be great also. No instructions for tv. I couldn't get it to go to any channels. Nothing major. I will be back next year!
