โUnfortunately only stayed for one night but staff was friendly, room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and the whole setting and being in a castle is just a great setting for special occasions. โ
โMy wife and I stayed here as we were attending a wedding nearby. We arrived early and luckily our room was available for early check in. The reception staff was really helpful and even assisted with arranging transport to our venue. Our room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds, with plenty of room utilities at hand. Bathroom also clean and spacious and toiletries provided. We booked breakfast which is buffet style with delicious food to suit all needsโ
โThe hotel was lovely and the staff courteous and accommodating. Aside from a few, limited spots which showed some age and repair, the accommodations were immaculate. I will certainly stay here again!โ
โOnly overnight, but really lovely stay. Rooms are across the courtyard from the pub. Was quiet when we were there as it was a Sunday, but there had been an event the day before. Lovely areas in the pub itself, we found some wing-backed arm chairs and played one of the Scrabble games they'd provided, while we had some food and drink. Breakfast in the same area the following morning was delicious. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a basket of treats. Staff were friendly and helpful. ...
โIt was amazing, great relaxed breakfast, fantastically comfortable beds, clean and cozy. Weโve actually extended our stay by a night as weโve had such a nice stay.โ
โFor a three bedroom (sleeps six) cottage this is great value. It's generally in satisfactory condition. OK, the garden and cottage could do with sprucing up a bit but it's a good place to stay. There is plenty of car parking space around the back, and a large village (Kelsall) two miles awayโ
โHotel was stunning both inside and outside and the staff were really friendly and polite nothing was too much trouble. Bed was really comfy and breakfast was excellent would come back to stay next time we are in Chester. Great location 5 minutes from motorway and only a few minutes from city centre and the zoo which is why we visitedโ
โStaff are wonderful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into town. The room was extremely hot, window only opened slightly, no A/C The bar could do with more ambience, felt a bit like an airport lounge. Maybe dim the lights, a few plants and put candles on tables. Really annoying having to pay for parking ยฃ28 for two nights, however that seems to be most English hotels in towns. Overall I would go back.โ
โOmg! What a fantastic hotel! We are a family of 4 adults 2 children and 2 dogs. We were welcomed to the hotel by a warm, friendly lady, who offered us all of the information we needed. The following morning it was just wonderful to see that there were breakfast tables available to sit at with our 2 dogs (who are our babies!) Breakfast was lovely!
Then we discovered the beautiful garden, which both the children and dogs loved and used lots of energy before our onward journey! We all felt we...
