“This is an old hotel right on the Ohio River with river views from the lobby and lounge. The rooms were clean and bright with good amenities. A refrigerator would be a welcome addition but there wasn't a lot of space to add one in the room we stayed in. The town was the launch point for settlers into the "Great Northwest Territory" so there is a lot of history here with riverboats as a central theme. “I hate giving bad reviews but the the Microtel is in very poor condition. There was a broken cart sitting next to the front desk. A bed pad was covering something in the hall next to the broken cart. There was a hole in the ceiling exposing a broken pipe. A bucket on the floor was collecting water underneath the ceiling opening. That was in the first six feet. I could go on but I think that paints a good picture of the condition. Staff was very nice but the hotel needs a extreme makeover. :-(”

“Parking was easy and enough spaces every night. Staff was very curious and helpful all the time. The place is really clean. The food in the kitchen is less than desirable. So don’t think you’re going to get a decent breakfast. ”

“The room had stained sheets, dirty wash cloths in the shower, holes in the towels. The hallways was full of guest going room to room drinking and smoking until 2am. The walls are thin and you can hear everything on the other side. I travel 30+ weeks a year things worst hotel I’ve been in 10 years”

“Pool is closed and empty, parking is good, staff was friendly. If your looking for a clean bed only then this is for you. No frills, no in room coffee, maybe in lobby if yor lucky.”

“Very nice property. Our bathroom door was either closed or wide open. We wanted a “night light” for the bathroom but had to leave the light on around the mirror. Threw a lot of light into the bedroom. I think the door needed adjusting. Traffic noise was very obvious even on the 4th floor. Other than that, everything was very good, including nice selections for breakfast. Our second stay at this property. Good location.”
