"Comfortable double room (number 3) and enough space for two of us for 2 -3 nights. It faces the road but the noise wasn't oppressive. Breakfast is a hamper with a decent amount of continental products plus items in the fridge. It wasn't clear that these items were included in the booking and worked that out from reading previous comments. I had to contact the hotel for arrival advice and that's when I found out there was a fridge in the room. This could be made clearer on the site.
Arrival is a key code to the front door then another code by the room door to access the room key. The front door is awkward to open. You turn the dial anticlockwise so your hand is turning onto the frame of the door and takes a bit of doing to open. The code should have been sent on the morning of arrival but didn't receive this until I contacted the hotel that afternoon and an hour before we arrived. A couple of hours later when we were settled into the room, I received a message through Hotels.com asking when we would be arriving.
Whilst the communication can be better and the front door is a faff, the hotel is in good location, comfortable and the staff you come across are friendly."
