"The Hoops is a lovely country inn with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable especially the bed. A well stocked tray with tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Towling robes were also provided. Breakfast, lunch and dinner had good choices and the cooked food was delicious"

"Very nice stay the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful our room was clean,comfortable and spacious. Having a carpark is a must and near to the hotel I would recommend too anyone looking for a relaxing holiday with a good breakfast. "

"we were in a room just off the main inn & we thought it was just newly renovated & to our surprise found out the renos were years old. A GREAT location, welcoming staff & awesome food,, only complaint would be Storm Amy, with here 80 - 100mph winds, which apparently staff have no control over - HAHA"

"This shepherd's hut is in a very remote area. Some difficulty traversing the narrow country roads to get there. The view was lovely and the host friendly and accomodating. The bed was high and we, in our mid seventies, had to assist each other in and out each time. All in all, despite the wet, windy weather, we had a sheperd's hut experience which we could not have in Canada. I think it would have been a nice area to enjoy in warmer, more pleasant weather."

"Spacious clean modern room (room 19) overlooking the estuary. Short walk to pub for breakfast/food. Beautifully appointed with amenities, hairdryer, heaters, coolers, tea coffee biscuits etc. Easy access to great walks, shops at Bideford etc"

"We have stayed in another property at this location previously, the apartments have an amazing location, minutes from the centre of Westward Ho! The apartment was clean, comfortable and even had a welcome pack. Amenities were great, including an iron and board, hair dryer and hoover. Great on sight parking and a lively community feel onsite! Communication was timely, clear and professional. We have no doubt, we will be rebooking!"

"We had an overnight stay here for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed our stay , It's not the Ritz as some previous reviewers seemed to expect,but it was clean ,the guy on the reception was friendly and helpful and we managed to use the outdoor swimming pool.An ideal location for what we needed ,"
