"Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. There website needs updating urgently because directions to the hotel are wrong and confusing. There also needs to be a direct number to the Stag because at the moment if you phone the number on the website it puts you through to a hotel in Bournemouth where staff cannot help you or give you information about directions or any other help."

"Room 10 - right by the office. Handy for car park to rear. Quite noisy when the office is busy. When I arrived the guy on the desk said 3 nights for 3 people (I corrected him - 2 nights for 1 person) I was then shown to a single room which I assume he hadn’t planned to give me. He quickly removed what appeared to be used towels from the bathroom and replaced them. "Nice place with air-conditioner. Safe and quiet. Would be nice if there's a towel hanger in the bathroom or even one or two hangers in the closet. Other than that, all good. "

"We had a great stay here at the weekend. We were only there one night as we had a wedding to attend nearby. The staff are brilliant, so helpful and friendly even let us check-in early. Room was perfect. Car parking so easy. Shame we couldn’t have spent longer there. Would definitely use again if in Cambridge. "

"Good location but very limited evening bus service from the airport. The 308 arrives at the airport from Great Dunmow at about 21.20 and returns immediately to Takeley, before going out of service. My driver was prepared to take me to Takeley Street / Stansted Airport Lodge as it was on her way back to the depot. This bus isn't shown on any of the airport timetables."

"Its not what I didn't like staying at the place. As the place is very reasonable in price concidering the places around the area. For short stays its good. Comfy bed shower and toilet facilities. Place is clean what more do you want. I noticed people want everything for a cheap price. Simple rooms with a bathroom. The couple running the site are lovely and friendly but if booking to stay please read what your needs are. "
