Air conditioning was out, building lobby and hallways were hot, but room was nice and cool. Room was clean but old. Beds were comfortable. There was a towel shortage and we only had one in our room. When we asked the desk for more they just gave us a arm full of wadded up towels that hadnt been folded.

Room was adequate and had basic amenities. However, the microwave did not work. The bathroom was not clean, there were long black hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor. Made me wonder if the carpet in the room was ever vacuumed. I was not comfortable taking my shoes off! Carpet was also ripped next to the bed. The breakfast was minimal. I would not stay there again.

The cooling tower was on the fritz, so the entire property was like 80°, but my room actually had functional AC, so I stayed comfortable! The place is a little run down, but the price is right and it's very central to everything, especially all the Sanford locations. I didn't use the outdoor pool, but it looked clean. Unfortunately the grass around it was knee high. It just looked as if they hadn't had a chance to catch up on general maintenance since winter, and I can't fault them for that. They were giving out free ice cream in the lobby to help combat the heat, and I'm sure that was much appreciated by those who didn't have functional AC!
