"First of all, the location. If you are visiting during summer festival season, this is absolutely perfect. Hotels along the golden mile would be SO NOISY at night. This is only a few minutes' walk from everything you want to see in the city and Grassmarket is busy and fun during the day but quiets right down at 10:30pm. Second, the staff. We had such nice staff members assist us while we were in Edinburgh. A huge hats off to Alex in the dining room who made every morning fantastic! Finally, the breakfast. Come hungry! I didn't know Haggis was a breakfast food but now I'll be making that at home, There's a buffet and a menu to order from - make sure you sign up for the included breakfast because that cost will save you a fortune by allowing you to skip sit-down restaurants and just get a snacky lunch."

"Room was simple, but nice. Front desk staff were outstanding. Breakfast was disappointing. No one served us, we didn’t get coffee or tea, and ended up just grabbing a yogurt and toast that were out. Still had to pay. Others around us did manage to order full breakfasts, so they might have better thoughts on that."

"The setting was great between the old and new Forth road bridges, with the restaurant looking at the new one. Nice big rooms with super king bed and a big bathroom with rain shower. A bus from the airport stops at the end of the old bridge right next to a footpath to the hotel."
